About our School

St John Fisher Catholic High School

is a mixed 11-18 comprehensive school with a rich catholic ethos. There are 718 pupils on roll.

At the end of February 2009 we moved into our new buildings at Park Lane. For four and a half terms the school was located in temporary buildings at Reeves Way (the former site of Hereward Community College). The construction has been completed by Kier Eastern.

To coincide with the move to our new buildings we have altered the name of the school from St John Fisher Roman Catholic School to St John Fisher Catholic High School. Our new logo is featured on new school uniform ties. These were designed and chosen, and are now indeed worn by students.

We have also launched a new format to the school day. There are now four lessons per day, each lasting 75 minutes.

Please visit our galleries to view photographs of our new school buildings.

Fascinating to hear of new building. I was one of the original intake at the old 'new' building. Headmaster then was Mr Balls, Science Teacher Mr Fitzgerald, other teachers Mr Carter, Miss Smart, Mrs Upchurch, Mr Gordon - the memorable ones. Hope all enjoy the new building - perhaps I will visit one day.
