We offer part of the Peterborough Hubs network CPD provision.

Drop-in Sessions

This includes fortnightly drop-ins during which professionals can come and access resources or gain advice about first quality teaching. Some of our drop-ins are also attended by a specialist Teacher of the Deaf, who can give technical advice about Hearing Aids and Radio Aids, as well as demonstrate the Soundfield system. 

Our drop-in sessions take place on a Tuesday and you can book a slot to seek advice and guidance from Hub staff or browse the resource library:

St John Fisher School and Middleton School, in conjunction with Peterborough Local Authority, are co-producing training focused on successful transitions at Key Stage 2.

Transition Event for Year 5 Parents

Middleton School, Bretton

Representatives from Hubs, the Local Authority and family Voice will give information, advice and guidance on the process of selecting secondary schools and help parents navigate admissions systems and criteria.

Transition Training for Staff

St John Fisher Catholic High School, Eastfield

This event will examine how to make Key Stage 2 – 3 transition successful for HI and other learners. The event looks at bespoke transitions for deaf students but also focuses more widely on considering how to ensure a positive transition for all students with SEND.

We also contribute to the delivery of CPD across Peterborough, with a particular focus on supporting EAL learners with a Hearing Impairment and also delivering effective PSHE and CEIAG education to learners with Special Educational Needs.
