Over the course of the year we have been working to raise standards across the school. One key aspect of that is the uniform and we have consulted with a parent focus group, school council and staff over the last term to review this.
We are updating the uniform from September 2017 for all students. From the start of the new academic year the uniform is changing as follows; girls will no longer be allowed to wear a black skirt to school, instead they can wear the new Kilt or trousers marked with a SJF logo from our Uniform Suppliers. Boys will also be required to wear trousers from our uniform suppliers. (Students moving into their final year will no longer be allowed to wear a black skirt but can wear the new uniform or wear appropriate black school uniform style trousers). The change in uniform was agreed at our recent governors’ meeting prior to the end of the Easter term. Our suppliers Chroma Sports are still the uniform suppliers and samples of the uniform will shortly be on display in our reception area. We are organising a number of days where you can come in and try on the uniform for sizing, alternatively there will be an order form at reception that will allow you to order with free delivery in school or directly to home for a small cost.
